1. Data We Collect

When you use Kaizen, we collect:

Account information: name, email address, profile photo (via Google OAuth)
Billing information: handled entirely by Paddle; we only store subscription status and plan identifiers
Usage data: page views, session duration, feature interactions (for improving the Service)
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information

2. How We Use Your Data

To operate and improve the Service
To manage your account and subscription
To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
To respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Paddle, for payment processing and subscription management
Neon (PostgreSQL), for database hosting
Google, if you choose to sign in with Google OAuth

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account anytime from Dashboard → Settings, or request assistance at privacy@kaizenkyotocapital.com.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (via NextAuth.js). No third-party tracking cookies are set by default.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. We follow security best practices to protect your data.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Rectify inaccurate data
Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Data portability
Object to processing
